We just received this message from PacifiCorp. the pumps will probably be starting up as I push the send button.
“The Bear Lake Outlet Canal is now open and passing about 600 cfs and the Lifton pumps have started or will very soon, despite remaining natural flow available at Cutler. The upper portion of the river is drying out fast. Bear Lake is currently at 5919.42 feet and won’t come up much more, if at all.”
Irrigation coordination calls that will begin next week. These help the power company to be more precise in releasing only the water as needed. We participate in these calls and appreciate the extra effort by all parties to conserve water in the system and ultimately Bear Lake.
